Azores surf house - The rooms

We will be staying in a beautiful villa with a family atmosphere, located on the south shore, very close to the beaches of Populo and Milicias.
The villa has seven en-suite bedrooms with double or twin beds. The living room, with its fireplace, is an ideal place to spend pleasant evenings together. The outdoor area includes a swimming pool, a yoga terrace and a wooden tower where you can watch the sun set over the ocean.

Our cosy Azores surfhouse is located in Livramento, a 15-minute walk from Milícias beach in Ponta Delgada, on the south coast of the island of Sao Miguel. The house is close to two beaches, and there are local shops, bars and restaurants near the ocean.

Surf

Lessons are given in small groups by experienced surf coaches. With surf spots close together between the north and south coasts, it's always possible to find the perfect surf conditions offshore. Whether you are an absolute beginner or an advanced surfer, our team will provide you with a safe environment to learn and improve your skills.

Daily surf lessons will take you to some of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Of course, transfers from the beach to the surf spots are included and, if required, wetsuits and surfboards are provided free of charge.

Surf School

Our instructors are IKO graduates. Passionate and motivated, they will be waiting for you at the school to help you organise your time on the slopes.

All our equipment is current and in good condition.

Our kite courses include :

2-hour sessions in the water
Hire of wetsuit, harness, lifejacket and helmet
Theoretical and practical training according to your level
Boat safety on the spot
Organisation of specific courses on request
We offer private courses for children aged 12 and over.

Yoga

We believe that yoga is fundamental to improving your surfing skills and abilities.

We teach yoga as a deep experience.
To deeply stretch and lengthen your surf-worn body, deepen your breath, focus your intention, practice balance, and improve your overall strength and well-being. Whether you want a slower yin class or a vinyasa class, our yoga instructors will meet your needs.

Diving

The waters of the Azores are frequented by five species of sea turtle, more than 24 different species of cetacean, and nearly 600 species of fish, including large schools of pelagic fish, several species of shark, graceful mantises and jamantas and affable groupers. The islands of the Azores offer a large number of dive sites and a rich and abundant marine life.

Adventures

The best way to explore the Azores, mountain biking offers something for everyone. The islands offer a vast network of trails, always lined with hydrangeas and forests of cryptomerias, linking all the places of scenic and cultural interest, through meadows, mountains and villages of great beauty.

The Azores, and in particular the island of Sao Miguel, has an impressive network of footpaths classified by the Regional Government of the Azores to ensure the safety and tranquillity of walkers. Each of these paths passes through areas of exceptional beauty. They connect all the nooks and crannies of each of the islands, both by the sea and at altitude.

Canyoning

The Azores is made up of nine islands, three of which offer excellent canyoning routes: São Miguel, São Jorge and Flores. These three islands offer an abundance of beautiful itineraries, but each has its own particularities.
Flores is the island with the widest range of routes, from the big verticals to the simplest.

Whale watching

The Azores is currently one of the world's largest whale sanctuaries. More than 20 different types of cetacean can be seen in the Azores, including resident and migrant species, both common and rare. It is a unique ecosystem. It is an ecosystem with unique characteristics. With majestic whales and friendly dolphins, the blue of the Atlantic Ocean becomes even more magical around these nine islands.
