Kitesurfing and Wingfoil Lessons for Children and Adults Sal-Rei, Boa Vista Island & Sal Island, Cape Verde
There are many kite schools in Sal and Boa Vista in Cape Verde. Over the years, we've got to know them all and we've selected the best teaching methods, infrastructure and friendliness for you.
Our two IKO instructors give lessons in French, Kessy in Sal and Romy in Boa Vista. Whether you're on your own, a couple, a family or a group, Ocean Adventure is sure to meet your needs.

One Kite Surf instructor for 2 students* Standards IKO!
Lessons take place on Estoril beach on the island of Boa Vista or on Santa Maria beach on the island of Sal. Depending on the level of the participants, there are 2 students per instructor *(Semi-private courses). The school has its own boat.
Breakdown of the 2 hours of kiteboarding per day
A kiteboarding lesson lasts around 2 hours, during which you share the sail with your partner. Once you're autonomous, you can opt for one sail per person. The instructor will decide whether to let you enjoy the sensations of kitesurfing solo if he or she thinks you're ready!
Beginners course :
- Learn the basics (safety instructions, how a kite works, etc.)
- Sail piloting exercises on the beach, starting on the beach allows you to discover the sensations in complete safety.
- Waterstart assisted by a boat, the instructor will be in the water to accompany you on these first steps!
- First rides!
Intermediate course :
- Start tacking and enjoy the first sensations of kitesurfing!
- Ride upwind and gradually discover autonomy.
- Take advantage of our instructors' sound advice, correct your posture and your faults to build a solid foundation.
Autonomous Coaching :
- You're about to become self-sufficient, so put into practice everything you've learnt so far!
- Now that you're self-sufficient, discover the joys of kitesurfing and experiment!

Wingfoil course in Sal Rei, Cape Verde
Wingfoil, the new sport of the moment! It's only been around for a short while, but our instructors are already passionate about it and ready to pass on all their knowledge to help you progress safely.
The first sessions :
You'll learn the basics of handling the Wing. Part of the lesson will be done with the sail only, then depending on the conditions (too much wind or a slight apprehension) the lessons can start on land with a SurfSkate! Similar gliding sensations and a feeling of safety that allows our students to feel more at ease once they're on the foil! For the more experienced, the first sessions can be done directly in the water on an inflatable board and an adapted foil!
It's now time to mix the 2: foil and wing, and we'll start with a specific board without a foil, or directly with one, depending on your skills.
You'll make your first runs and your first flights!
