Surf Nazaré School, Portugal
Our surf camp is located in a cosy setting a stone's throw from the beach and the city centre. In the heart of Nazaré's social life, you will enjoy excursions in the streets of the village.
Nazaré, renowned for its large waves, is also a spot for beginners and intermediates !
It doesn't matter if you've never set foot on a surfboard, if you surf alone or if you're already a pro. Ocean Adventure's surfschools are well prepared to work with any type of surfer.
Each course includes sports equipment, transportation to the beach and sports insurance...
At the beginning of the surf course, we will evaluate your surfing level and adjust our program. To make the most of each session, our groups are limited to six people per instructor, so that everyone get their full attention. Alternatively, you may prefer a private lesson and surf alone with an instructor. With all the attention you receive and with a program specially designed for you, you will learn and evolve much faster.

Ideally located, you will enjoy a high quality surf course and spend 1h30 in the water!
Remember to book in advance because in summer and during school holidays, slots are taken over 7 days and there is no room for last minute bookings.What to bring for my surf lesson?
We provide the board, wetsuit, monitor and transport if the ocean is in a storm and you have to leave the area to go to a fallback spot. Simply bring a swimsuit to wear under the wetsuit, a towel, some clothes to change aftern, sunblock and a bottle of water.At what time does the lesson start?
We organize the courses about 2 hours before and after low tide
with normal coefficients of 50/70. This may be more with lower coefficients but in any case,we organize the groups ourselves according to age and level
in order to bring you the greatest satisfaction possible. We will therefore contact you 48h before the D-day to give you your lesson time (according to the tides but also the "reliable wave and weather forecasts").
Surfing lessons beginners and advanced
From beginner to intermediate and advanced level, we will find the right place to progress without age or gender limits. The surf instructor, an experienced rider will be able to accompany you throughout your session.
Surfing sessions:
- a maximum of 6 people per instructor for a higher coaching quality
- equipment is provided
- foam boards for beginners
- resin boards for intermediates and confirmed
- transfer by 4x4 to the best spots
- surfsuits and accessories
- briefings on the beach to start
- essential safety measures directly related to the conditions of the day
