Dakhla’s iconic spot, situated to the north of the lagoon. Crystal-clear water, a visible sandy seabed, and no chop at all. Ideal for your first water starts and learning manoeuvres. You can stand up anywhere here, making it perfect for focusing on your technique without worrying about falling.

A run of several hundred metres across an ultra-flat stretch of water, perfectly aligned with the wind. The mirror-like effect of the water creates an unrivalled sensation of flight. A favourite spot for riders looking to string together fast tacks, controlled jibes and their first jumps. The golden light at the end of the day is magical.

At high tide, the Dune Blanche becomes a floating mirage — turquoise water, white sand, golden dunes. Accessible by downwind sail from the lagoon camps or by 4x4. A spot for leisurely and contemplative sailing, often visited on organised excursions. A breathtaking backdrop for the best photos of your trip.

La Pointe / Dragon Island

A right-hand wave over 100 metres long, with a side-off wind that makes it glassy and perfect. Located on the Atlantic side, near Dragon Island. The ideal spot for riding the swell on a foil — the waves break cleanly and offer long, fluid sessions. The Drifter service allows you to reach the lagoon spots from this camp.

Waves + Flat
All levels
The only spot in Dakhla that combines waves and flat water. On the ocean side: a long, clean right-hander with an offshore wind, glassy and seemingly endless — a dream for wave wingfoilers. On the lagoon side: a flat area perfect for beginners and freestyle. In winter, the surfing conditions are exceptional. In summer, flat water reigns supreme.

The international competition spot in Dakhla, on the ocean side. Its long waves break cleanly, with a perfect side-off wind for riding the swell. It regularly hosts GWA (Global Wingfoil Association) competitions. It’s clearly aimed at experienced riders, but intermediate riders who are comfortable in waves may also find it enjoyable.

of Dakhla
On the Atlantic coast, Dakhla offers a radically different playing field. The wave spots at La Pointe, Lassarga and Foum Lbouir host international GWA competitions, and for good reason: the waves break cleanly there, with a side-off wind that makes them glassy and long.
Wave wingfoiling in Dakhla takes it to a whole new level: a blend of surfing, flying and endless gliding. The foils allow you to ride sections that no one would have imagined riding before. A minimum intermediate level is required for the wave spots.

Tides — Important for Wingfoiling
The Dakhla lagoon is subject to the tides, with a tidal range of 1 to 2 metres. At high tide, the shallow areas are accessible and ideal for beginners. At low tide, some areas dry out, but there is always water further out.

The Lagoon Kitesurf Camp
The old Dakhla Spirit in all its authenticity. We set off opposite the camp, just beyond the natural pool, in shallow, perfectly flat water. Experienced riders can organise trips to the Speed Spot or the Dune Blanche — a legendary downwind run that ends against a picture-postcard backdrop. A friendly atmosphere, a cheerful team, and excellent food.

Situated on the Atlantic coast, this camp is a paradise for riders in search of waves. The right-hand wave at La Pointe rolls out for over 100 metres, with a side-off wind that makes it glassy and perfect. The ‘Drifter’ service offers shuttle buses to La Piscine, the Speed Spot and other spots around the lagoon — ideal for mixing things up between wave and flat-water sessions. Close to Dragon Island.

South Point (Lassarga)

At the southern tip of the peninsula, Lassarga is the only camp to offer both a world-class wave spot and a flat-water area in the lagoon. The wave at Lassarga is a long, clean right-hander, with an offshore wind that makes it glassy and seemingly endless. In winter (October to March), the conditions for surfing and freeriding are exceptional. In summer, the lagoon offers perfect flat water for freestyle. An eco-lodge on stilts, yoga overlooking the ocean, a unique atmosphere.

Two distinct areas: long, clean right-hand waves on the ocean side (offshore wind, depth 1 to 4 m) and a flat section of the lagoon for beginners and freestyle. Winter: surfing and freeride. Summer: flat water and freestyle.
