Ocean Adventure wasn't born behind a screen or in a business school, but in the waves. Before becoming a platform, we were surfers. Enthusiasts who learned, progressed and travelled with the waves to ultimately become part of the great surfing family.
Whereas some surf travel agencies are kite surfers who have become surf holiday sellers, others are geeks who have become intermediaries, and still others are large retail chains, we have chosen a different path: that of authentic surfing!
What makes us different? A culture deeply rooted in the ocean. A rigorous selection of spots and camps carefully chosen according to our quality charter. Tailor-made teaching and advice adapted to each individual profile.
For over 15 years, we have been supporting thousands of aspiring surfers with a passionate, responsible and scientifically validated approach.
Because surfing is not a product. It is an adventure. A journey of progress and, for some, an experience that will change their lives.

A passionate guide who does not have a deep connection with the waves will never be a true mentor. At Ocean Adventure, our guides thrive in contact with the water. They feel the ocean, respect living creatures, and convey much more than just a take-off: they convey a state of mind.
Surfing with a champion
You can't learn to surf in a wave pool. With this label, we make it a point of honour to emphasise the experience of our instructors. Most of them are former professional surfers who are committed to passing on their passion with teaching skills, method and authenticity.
The environment as a philosophy
These convictions are reflected in the day-to-day management of our camps: from environmental awareness to water, energy and waste management, and ethical purchasing, we have implemented eco-responsible measures and guarantee their proper implementation.

Many camps are owned by foreign investors. As a result, the capital does not fully benefit the local population. This label reflects our ecotourism approach and our values of sharing and respect. 100% of profits are reinvested locally, directly boosting the local economy.

A selection of the best surf instructors and camps
With over 20 years of experience, Ocean Adventure's guides are above all passionate and avid surfers themselves. They share their expertise to help you plan your trip and surfing lessons. The aim is to find the right spot for your level so you can learn and progress in the best possible conditions. After all, the waves at Côte des Basques and Nazaré in Portugal are not suited to the same types of surfers!
Teaching surfing: a sacred tradition
Our instructors are pragmatic surfers who teach with their bodies as well as their minds. Surfing a wave is like surfing through life: you need to combine mental strength, power and flexibility.

Surfers say you have to listen to your shaper like you would your shaman. The same goes for our students with their instructors: attentive listening is essential to soak up their experience and knowledge!
Talent AND teaching skills
Passion alone is not enough to be a good surf instructor. It's a job that can't be improvised! Showing empathy, teaching technique, conveying passion and a mindset requires real teaching skills based on a proven method. The French Surfing Federation is one of the best training centres in the world. The experience and knowledge passed on by peers is also essential.
Surfboards that are just right, but also a desire to share the love
Our instructors provide high-quality equipment tailored to each individual's needs. But just as passion alone is not enough to be a competent teacher, good equipment is not everything! The desire to share knowledge is key. That's what sets surf instructors apart... from good surf instructors.
With the right equipment, a person weighing 130 kilos will enjoy the same comfort surfing as a 7-year-old child!
It's not just about being there, but above all about knowing how to motivate and support students: getting in the water, interacting with them, pushing them and coaching them individually so that they give their best. That's what we really expect from a surf instructor, and that's what Ocean Adventure strives to offer its learner surfers.
