Boa Vista Island in Cape Verde, located off the West African coast, is a world-renowned kitesurfing destination thanks to its wind statistics, the variety of spots to start or improve, the quality of its waves and its unique landscapes. Along with Dakhla in Morocco and Corralejo in Fuerteventura, Boa Vista Island are among the best camps in winter.
A small goldmine for all water sports, the ocean will deliver a beautiful playground: aquarium-like seabeds for diving, consistent waves for surfing, lagoons for stand up paddle.
Sal Kitesurf School
Whether you are self-sufficient or a beginner, kitesurfing is accessible to all levels of kiteboarders through the on-site kitesurfing schools.
The most famous spot is Sta Maria, a bay located on the north coast of Boa Vista only 5 minutes drive from downtown Sal Rei. With its constant wind from November to May, its side-on orientation ideal for practice, its huge bay always bathed in ideal weather, it is the perfect place to learn to kite!
This is where our kitesurf club is located. Perfect place in the middle of surfing and city life. You won't find a better surf school !
Weather in Boa Vista
The windy season lasts from October to June, with a special mention for wave riders from December to April, where Sal recovers excellent swells.
Boa Vista is the island where it never rains, it receives trade winds almost every day from October to June.
From December to April, the big swells come in and allow for a combination of conditions for epic wave sessions.
At the chillier end of the season (December to March), it's 22 to 25 degrees during the day and 18 to 20 in the evening. The water temperature remains at 21 to 23 degrees: a 3.2 or a shorty will suffice for the more chilly. Boardshorts are compulsory the other months of the year.

-Excursion of the island (pick up or quad)
-Excursion to see the turtles laying eggs (exclusively in summer)

-Jetskiing (although I imagine this isn't necessarily in your idea of a trip)
-Sailboarding / foiling (I don't do it but I can organise)
For beginners and advanced
From beginners to intermediate and advanced levels, we will find the spot to progress without age limits. Our kitesurfing school instructors will take you through all the stages of learning to kitesurf in Sal, making sure you have a great time !
At the end of your course with us, you will be ready for your life as a kiteboarder with solid technical and safety knowledge !
