Our surf school is located on São João beach in Caparica. You don't have to carry any heavy equipment - you're right on the beach!
São João beach, a surfing spot for beginners and intermediates!
São João, in Lisbon, is an exposed beach with a small gap that offers constant surf and can be used at any time of year. Offshore winds blow from the east. Waves are just as likely to come from local swells as from distant bottom swells, and the ideal swell direction is westerly.
The break of the beach offers lefts and rights. The best time is at high tide. It can get crowded here. The dangers are the rocks

Ideally situated on São João beach, you'll enjoy a top quality surf lesson and spend 1h30 in the water!
Remember to book in advance, because in summer and during school holidays, slots are taken over 7 days and there is no room for last-minute bookings.
What should I bring for my surf lesson?
We provide the board, wetsuit, instructor and transport if the ocean is stormy and you have to leave the site to go to a fallback spot. Just bring a swimming costume to wear under your wetsuit, a towel, a change of clothes and a bottle of water.
What time are the lessons?
We organise the lessons about 2 hours before and after low tide
with normal coefficients of 50/70. It can be more with lower coefficients, but in any case,
we organise the groups ourselves according to age and level
in order to give you the greatest possible satisfaction. We'll call you back 48 hours before D-day to give you your lesson time, depending on the tides and reliable swell and weather forecasts.
