The camp

We have selected a relaxed kite camp for your stay in Morocco: the friendly atmosphere, excellent food and magnificent landscapes surrounding these bungalows will completely transport you. Located on the edge of the lagoon, this kite camp will also charm you with its friendly and helpful team.

North-west of Dakhla, the refurbished Bungalow Hotel is built on terraces on a hill with an incredible view of the lagoon. This friendly hotel has 30 superb bungalows, some with breathtaking views of the lagoon, and can accommodate up to three people. Kite Camp Dakhla is more than just a place to spend the night; it's a place where kitesurfers and wingfoilers meet, swap stories and create unforgettable memories.

Camp infrastructure

Common area: Our Villa surf camp is where all the action happens! This is where you will find our bar and restaurant, as well as our relaxation areas, with our lounges, games room, swimming pool, our beach and much more... This is where we organise our themed dinners, barbecue evenings, live music nights and our debriefing sessions after crazy kitesurfing sessions!
Co-working space: we offer a comfortable co-working lounge where you can relax, catch up on work, hold online meetings, charge your laptop and accessories, and use our fast wired Internet connection if you need to. This area is perfect for our guests who need to stay connected during their holiday.
Bar: At the pool bar, sheltered from the wind on the sunny terrace, you can enjoy cold drinks (not included). It's the perfect place to relax during the day in the pool or on the sun loungers on the terrace. From here, you have an incredible view of the lagoon where water sports are practised. In the evening, after the last session, there is always a great atmosphere here.

We offer free Wi-Fi in our beach bar for all guests. For those who need more connectivity, we have 4G SIM cards available at our reception.

Our electricity is powered by a generator, which is turned off at certain times of the day and night. Welcome to Morocco! We can recharge all devices in the restaurant area, which has solar power throughout the day.

Bar and restaurant

Bar: The pool bar is ideally located overlooking the lagoon. From here, you can enjoy a snack or drink while watching all the action on the water or relaxing by the pool. In the evening, our beach bar is the perfect place to meet up with everyone and enjoy a drink after dinner.

Restaurant:

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant. Our chef creates a delicious fusion of traditional Moroccan cuisine and European dishes, combining the rich exotic flavours of Morocco with contemporary European influences for a unique culinary experience: fresh fish, meat and salads. We are happy to cater to your dietary preferences or requirements to ensure a tailor-made experience for each guest. The dining area is completely sheltered from the wind. All meals are included.

Our Moroccan breakfast buffet spoils you with fresh dates, fine pastries and many other typical delicacies from the country – for a great start to the day.

Location

Our Dakhla kite camp is located right next to the spot, the water sports centre of Dakhla Lagoon. A private sandy beach, ideal wind direction, perfect orientation and optimal water depth offer the best conditions for beginners and advanced riders in one of the windiest regions in the world.

Access

Direct flights: Some airlines offer direct flights to Dakhla from European cities such as Paris, Bordeaux or Marseille (e.g. with Transavia or Air France) or Madrid (with Ryanair). Other cities are expected to follow. The flight from France or Spain takes approximately 3 to 4 hours.
Dakhla Airport is approximately 30 minutes by car from the centre and the hotel.
Flights with stopovers: Dakhla Airport can be reached from Munich, Frankfurt, Switzerland, Austria, Amsterdam and Brussels with Royal Air Maroc, with a stopover in Casablanca or Marrakesh. Some flights go via Agadir or Marrakech, which are also easily accessible from Europe (e.g. with Ryanair, EasyJet or Wizz Air). From there, there are domestic flights to Dakhla Airport, which are well coordinated with international flights. The flight from Central Europe takes approximately 6 to 8 hours.

Kitesurf & Wingfoil Spot

The Dakhla lagoon: the spot is this lagoon, approximately 40 km long and 4 km wide, formed by the Dakhla peninsula which juts out into the Atlantic Ocean and offers a huge protected area for water sports. The bottom is covered with super-fine sand. It is a perfect spot for beginners, advanced surfers and pros looking for calm water. Near the shore, just opposite the centre, the water is shallow and offers a nice area where you can stand up, depending on the tides.

The Dakhla lagoon spot depends on the tides and offers a very different landscape depending on the water level: at high tide, the first 200 metres in front of the centre are a real paradise for beginners – flat and calm, with water reaching calf or waist height. A few hours later, at low tide, the water level drops and the area where you can stand may sometimes be completely dry. But further out, the water remains deep, ideal for kitesurfing and wingfoiling, so you can always have a great time on the water, whatever the tide.

Kite surf

Dakhla is a major kitesurfing destination that enjoys 330 days of consistent wind every year. It boasts a flat water lagoon and high-level wave spots on the Atlantic Ocean, making Dakhla the best region in the world for kitesurfing, whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider! Our instructors are IKO certified and teach courses in French, English and Arabic. Passionate and motivated, they are waiting for you at the school to help you make the most of your time on the water. The equipment is renewed every 6 months.

Whether you are a complete beginner or want to improve your skills, we offer kitesurfing lessons tailored to your needs. Learn the basics or move on to more complex manoeuvres, such as jumps, transitions and freestyle tricks.
