Located near the beaches of Bilbao, this surfing holiday camp is the best in Spain, offering a complete experience combining surfing, skateboarding and adventure sports in an international capital of art, culture and gastronomy.

The youngsters are accommodated in a large, recently renovated traditional Basque house, with full board and professional supervision, guaranteeing a safe and enriching stay.

The unspoilt surf spot is perfect for all levels, from beginners to advanced surfers. Outside the surf sessions, there's skateboarding, climbing, a heated swimming pool and outdoor activities.

With its friendly, international atmosphere, this camp is ideal for improving your skills, sharing your passion and enjoying an unforgettable summer in the Spanish Basque Country.

The hostel has a skateboard ramp, an urban circuit, an archery area, a heated swimming pool, a climbing wall, bar, picnic area, open-air cinema... it's a dream!

Located in Sopelana, in the Basque Country, the Surf & Skate camp can accommodate up to 75 people. 75 beds spread over 9 spacious rooms, each named after one of the most legendary surfing and skateboarding spots in the world, 7 bathrooms, with 2 more in the shower area, a large lounge with TV and seating for 50, a fully-equipped kitchen and dining room for sharing the day's experiences, with spectacular views of the Urduliz mountains, a privileged environment in the Basque Country.

  1. We offer large indoor and outdoor spaces designed for rest and relaxation, including the spa. Included in our package is entry to the spa to enjoy the jacuzzi and sauna, the perfect way to unwind after a long day!

Our Surfcamp offers a whole range of free-access activities: the terrace and dome await you for yoga classes and chill-outs, the 150m² skatepark hidden beneath our surfcamp stays cool all summer long, and all the modules you need to progress in skateboarding and surfskating are stored and waiting for you!   3. 2000 m2 of manicured gardens, original hammocks, a suspended wood-burning stove, a lawn that makes you want to soak up the sun, a multi-purpose geodesic dome, outdoor skate ramps, large indoor and outdoor terraces. Our surfcamp has no shortage of places to chat, have fun and have a good time!

Planning a surfing holiday camp in Spain

Arrival from 3pm, then free time until dinnertime. Four excursions are planned during the week to discover Bilbao and the surrounding area! Daily surf lessons, surf skate and yoga to perfect your surfing technique! Departure Sunday after lunch.

Transfer included to Bilbao train and bus stations, and to the airport. Inbound and outbound, from 9 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. You will need to indicate the arrival times and the transport used (pick-up point) on the booking form to ensure that the transfer is provided to the camp.

Check in - check out: If you're bringing your child by car, arrival time at camp on Sunday is between 3 and 6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., camp presentation takes place. If you plan to arrive later than 9pm, please specify this on the booking form in the comments section. For the following Sunday, the camp ends after dinner.

We offer surf lessons for all levels and ages, with beginner, intermediate, personalized, private and group lessons.

We have a large team of surf instructors with over 20 years' experience and the relevant qualifications (level 1 and 2 surf instructors).

Our surfing courses and lessons are based on an experienced method and a philosophy in keeping with the unique and spectacular surroundings. The school is located between the towns of Getxo and Sopela, a point of reference in the world of surfing with two magnificent beaches for the practice of this sport.

The surf school has been in operation since 2004 and its instructors are locals who know the environment and are certified by the surfing federation.

The programme covers knowledge of waves and the ocean, respect for the sea and its environment, with a philosophy marked by values and a clear goal of progress in surfing!

Frequently asked questions!

1How do our Surf Camps work? Will there be 24-hour surveillance?
We organise summer camps for young surfers. The most important thing for us is to ensure that all participants feel safe and supported while having a memorable and fun experience.
2How can parents contact their children?
We want all the children to concentrate on their activities throughout the day, so we ask them not to carry their phones at all times, but parents will be able to contact their children! Parents can always contact the camp coordinator in an emergency!
3Is insurance included?
Our comprehensive accident insurance covers all participants in the event of an accident occurring during the activities. We therefore advise all participants to bring their European Health Card or health insurance card.
4What type of food is served? Where do they eat?
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks throughout the day are all included. Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, especially with a busy programme of surfing and activities. That's why our breakfast is balanced and rich in nutrients to keep your children energised throughout the day. We serve a variety of fruit, juices, breads, pastries, cereals and many other side dishes to suit all diets. Lunches are served in the beach bar and consist of a starter, main course, dessert, water and juice. Meals vary daily between meat and fish and we always have an extra option to suit everyone's tastes. Vegan options are always available. Dinners will be served in our accommodation with soup as a starter, a main course of meat or fish, dessert, water and juice. At the end of each week, we organise a barbecue evening for everyone with salads, rice and vegetables. for everyone with salads, rice and burgers. All our meals include a vegan option. Healthy and nutritious snacks are also available throughout the day. These usually include a sandwich, fruit, snack and juice.
5Do I need to be a good swimmer?
Our main aim at the summer camp is to create a fun and safe environment where everyone can learn to surf and improve their skills, enjoy all the daily activities, as well as develop personally and socially. Knowing how to swim will give participants a solid foundation to make significant progress in surfing. However, this is not imperative. We will make any necessary adjustments for those who are not completely comfortable in the water and we will never take someone to a depth of water they are not comfortable with. Our surf instructors are well equipped to ensure the safety of all students.
6What should they bring to surf? Should they bring their own wetsuit?
We provide a wetsuit, the size and thickness of which is adapted to each student. Each student will be allocated a wetsuit for the duration of the week. The only things they need to bring are a beach towel, a swimming costume or shorts and effective sun protection.
7Are flights included?
The flights are not included.
8What clothes will they need?
All participants must bring: trousers, t-shirts, fleeces/jumpers, shorts, swimming shorts/swimsuits, a coat (for the evenings), pyjamas, underwear, t-shirts, a bath and beach towel, a hat, flip-flops, sun cream, toiletries and a bottle of water.
9Do you have any other advice or information?
It is not advisable to bring valuables. We recommend that you bring practical, comfortable clothing, sun cream and a hat to protect you from the sun at all times. All belongings must be identified with a badge. We provide 24-hour surveillance of all our participants to ensure that they are assisted in all situations.
