We are not a modern villa, we are a traditional Sri Lankan style guest house where you meet great people, eat good food and laugh, and improve your surfing and yoga skills.

It's as simple as that. We offer a delicious breakfast menu that also includes vegan and vegetarian options. Savoury, savoury and sweet are all on the menu. Ceylon tea and fresh coffee are complimentary. For lunch, guests are free to explore the local cafes and restaurants that dot our small town of Mirissa. Dinner is served from 19:00 as a buffet or set menu. Our chefs Hasith and Simon will ensure that all tastes and diets are catered for. The main course is followed by a dessert of the day. We give pride of place to local produce in our cuisine. Breakfast and dinner are included in all packages. The Loose Keys bar starts to light up in the evening with delicious cocktails. What's more, we're proud to say that we serve the best coffee and pastries in town in our Loose Keys Culture café. The café also serves the freshest juices.

Your wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend/child is welcome as a non-surfing partner, but a discount is also available. Non-surfers can still enjoy all the other aspects of the package such as massages, city tour etc. If they prefer, they can simply relax, unwind and enjoy the beach and the delicious food. Surfing is a fantastic family activity and having children on your surf lessons is always great fun. However, we do have an age limit for surfers; they must be at least 6 years old and accompanied by at least one participating adult. Children requiring their own room will be charged at the adult rate.

All our customers are advised to take out appropriate medical and travel insurance to cover adventure sports such as surfing.

We will be happy to arrange a transfer from your home to the airport by private driver if required. Guests can reach the camp by public or private transport. Private car / van AC - Cost EUR 84, including motorway pass (up to two passengers, for 3 people it's EUR 33 per person) - Time taken is 2.5 to 3 hours. Public transport Bus - Take the bus from the airport to Pettah main bus station, then take the number 2 bus to Matara (normal route) or the express bus to Matara (subject to availability). From there you can take a tuk tuk to our camp in Mirissa.

The reason we organise our surf camp in the south of Sri Lanka is the regularity of the waves and the favourable weather and winds. The waves are rarely big and flat. There's always soft, friendly white water inside to build confidence in specific board skills and generally gentle, uninterrupted waves each morning, perfect for more experienced customers and level 2-3 surfers who want to challenge themselves.

In simple terms, we stick to an upper limit of 1:4 instructors to students. It's also important to note that we don't mix skill levels, so you'll feel more comfortable with your instructions.

We have an in-house photographer who can take photos of you from land, drone and water. You can buy these professional photos from him. The videos taken for the surf analysis will be shared with you free of charge.

The weather is nice and warm in Sri Lanka, so all you need is a rashguard and swimming shorts. We'll provide a rashguard if you don't have one. Don't forget sun cream too, it can be difficult to find these items locally, especially for the over 40s.

Surfing equipment is included in the surf camp packages. However, if you have your own favourite board, feel free to bring it along too.

It's not an obligation, but an advantage if you want to feel confident in the water and maximise your progress and enjoyment.
