Surfcamp is a vintage surf hotel on Baleal beach. It offers the best location for surfers on the Peniche peninsula. This magnificent residence stands proudly on the cliffs of Baleal beach, with views of some of Portugal's best and most regular surf spots from its windows and terraces.

Get up, have breakfast, do your morning check with a magnificent sunrise and go surfing wherever the waves call you!

There's never a shortage of cafés, bars and restaurants on Baleal, and Portuguese gastronomy is sure to accompany you throughout your stay! Enjoy locally caught fish, a typical Portuguese drink and a breathtaking view over the Bay of Baleal!

Peniche, a small fishing town just 4 km (5 minutes by car) from Baleal, has many restaurants offering fantastic cuisine with the best meat, fish and wine that Portugal has to offer. Ask a member of the Surfcamp team to recommend a restaurant and we'll be happy to book you a table or a taxi for your evening.

Each accommodation has its own kitchen so you can prepare your own snacks or meals if needed! (preparing cocktails to enjoy the view during a sunset is a very good idea!)

Access

Peniche Airport

There is a taxi service from Lisbon airport to Surfcamp (and vice versa), and it costs €100 for transport by car or €150 for transport by Surfcamp van. We would be happy to book the taxi for you, please contact us with your flight details!

From Lisbon

Take the A8 towards Leiria (partially toll road), drive for 40 minutes and take exit nº14 for Peniche. Enter the IP6 and follow the signs for Peniche. At the 3rd roundabout, take the first exit towards Baleal. After a 5-minute drive along the dunes, you'll see the ocean on your left and the Surfcastle directly in front of you. The big white house with the black roof directly on the beach.
