Our surfcamp in Bilbao, is a traditional house renovated to accommodate about 75 guests, with extensive sports and leisure facilities, especially for lovers of surfing and skate and adventure sports.
Located in the town of Sopelana in the region of Bizkaia, where you can surf in a unique spot that remains virtually untouched and has been the birthplace of some of the best surfers of the continent. An ideal place for beginners and advanced surfers alike.
The hostel has a skateboard miniramp, a city circuit, an archery area, a heated swimming pool, a climbing wall, a bar, a picnic area, an open air cinema... as you can see, there is no room for boredom in our surf camp.

Our surfcamp:
The surfcamp is in Sopelana, in the Basque Country, the Surf & Skate camp can accommodate up to 75 people. 75 beds spread over 9 spacious rooms each named after the most legendary places of surfers and skaters, 7 bathrooms, and 2 more in the shower area, a large living room with TV and 50 seats, a kitchen and dining room fully equipped to share your experiences of the day with spectacular views of the mountains of Urduliz, privileged environment of the Basque Country.

The outdoors: heated pool & skatepark
Our facilities are modern, the surfcamp has an indoor heated swimming pool, a complete skatepark for beginners and another for professionals, a climbing wall, archery, table tennis, barbecues, an open-air cinema, a slackline, table football and a 10,000 m2 garden area.

An ideal place for beginners and top surfers alike. Located in the heart of the Basque mountains and forests, but only 5 minutes from the beach of Sopelana, where the surfing lessons take place.

We offer surfing lessons for all levels and ages, with beginner, intermediate, customised, private and group lessons.
We have a great team of surf instructors with over 20 years of experience and the relevant qualifications (surf instructor level 1 and 2).
A method & philosophy of surfing in a unique environment
Our surfing courses and lessons are guaranteed by an experienced method and a philosophy in accordance with the unique and spectacular environment. The school is located between the towns of Getxo and Sopela, a point of reference in the surfing world with two beautiful beaches for the practice of this sport.
The surf school has been in existence since 2004 and its instructors are locals who know the environment and are certified by the surf federation.
We apply very elaborate teaching techniques with years of experimentation, where we treat the sporting and environmental part, working on the knowledge of the waves, and the respect of the sea and its environment, with a philosophy marked by conservation and ecology.
Typical schedule for a week at the Bilbao Surfcamp
Arrival is from 15:00, then free time until dinner time. Four excursions are planned during the week to discover Bilbao and its surroundings ! Surfing lessons every day, surf skate and yoga to improve your surfing technique ! Departure on Sunday after lunch.
