You're looking for the best teen surf camp in France, a surfing holiday camp like no other, dedicated solely to intermediate and advanced levels.

There are no introductory lessons here: if your teenager already knows how to catch a wave, manage a take-off and go to the peak on his or her own, this holiday is for him or her!

Intensive course + Video analysis

Intensive surfing course for young independent surfers who already have the basics. Improve your repertoire of manoeuvres thanks to our surf coaching programme where you'll surf a multitude of spots between Capbreton and Seignosse. Video analysis after the sessions, the best way to progress faster! One of the only Surf Camps to offer up to 3 sessions a day, so if you're looking for a bit of sport, you've come to the right place!

Our surfcamp is full board!

  • Breakfast at the Surf House: building up your strength with a hearty breakfast is the first step in a day full of activities! Carefully prepared to suit a variety of needs and tastes!
  • A picnic on the beach, getting your strength back before a good afternoon out, all while enjoying the sea air, is surely the best way to have breakfast! We also prepare snacks when they return from their second surf session.
  • Dinners in restaurants or at the Surf House - we know some great places to eat in both Hossegor and Capbreton, and we also prepare delicious, well-balanced dinners to keep your strength up throughout the week!

Colo Surf Performance

  • Thanks to its exceptional sunshine, you can watch the sunset from the terrace and enjoy the communal areas such as the jacuzzi, outdoor kitchen, mini ramp and hammocks!

Each room is equipped with a TV and an XBox 360 (to be used sparingly outside activities!). In the living room, you have free access to a library, an IMac and a TV with decoder and DVD player. The aim is to create links, chill out in front of Netflix or watch a surfing competition before going to bed - it's the best!

Hossegor Surfing Camp, France

Located in Hossegor in the Landes, just behind the Piste and Santocha spots, this 250 m2 surf camp on a 1000 m2 plot comprises 2 flats with terraces and a villa.

Access

SHUTTLE AND TRANSPORT

  • -> Arrivals and departures: book a shuttle service to Biarritz airport or Bayonne SNCF station (€50/journey/person up to 2 people)

ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES

  • -> Arrivals on Sunday from 4pm by plane or train, or from 5.30pm directly on site.
  • -> Departures on Saturday before 12 noon.

Minimum intermediate beginner level.

As the surf instructor will be filming on the beach, the minimum requirement is to be able to paddle out to the peak on your own and surf waves of 1m / 1.5m. This usually takes 2 to 3 weeks of practice, or at least 20 hours of surfing.

If you surf softboards and need to switch to hardboards, this camp is for you!

Intensive Intermediate level

An intensive course for young people who have already practised surfing (advanced beginner and intermediate level). This course gives you the basics for catching waves with the right timing and making your first take-off so that you can be independent in the water. The instructor will help you catch waves if necessary and will film your sessions.

Intensive Level Perf & Competition

Our intensive programme is particularly suited to young surfers at perf and competition level who want to improve their technique. We form groups according to age and surfing ability. Take your surfing to the next level with the help of our coach's advice and video and photo analysis.

Included in our 2 packages:

  • 6 nights' accommodation at the Surf House opposite the Capbreton surf spots. 24-hour supervision for minors by a BAFA-qualified activity leader, separate accommodation for boys and girls.
  • Full board: shared meals in the restaurant or at the Surf House.
  • 5-day intensive surfing course x 2 surf lessons, assistance from the coach in the water if required.
  • Sessions filmed and photographed from the shore and Go Pro sessions in the water.
  • Daily video analysis and photos included for improved progression.
  • Surfboard adapted to your level and wetsuit provided.
  • Loan of a Quiksilver or Roxy spring suit or full wetsuit.
  • Transport to the spots by minibus, discovery of the sandbanks of Capbreton, Hossegor and Seignosse.
  • Supervision throughout the day by a state-certified instructor (surf lessons and related activities).
  • Personal accident insurance.
  • Theoretical lessons: baine currents, support, trajectories.
  • Technical report at the end of the course.
  • Sheets and towels provided.

1How do our Surf Camps work? Will there be 24-hour surveillance?
We organise summer camps for young surfers. The most important thing for us is to ensure that all participants feel safe and supported while having a memorable and fun experience.
2How can parents contact their children?
Nous voulons que tous les enfants se concentrent sur leurs activités tout au long de la journée, c'est pourquoi nous leur demandons de ne pas porter leur téléphone en permanence mais les parents auront la possibilité de contacter leurs enfants ! Les parents peuvent toujours contacter le coordinateur du camp en cas d'urgence !
3Is insurance included?
Our comprehensive accident insurance covers all participants in the event of an accident occurring during the activities. We therefore advise all participants to bring their European Health Card or health insurance card.
4What type of food is served? Where do they eat?
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks throughout the day are all included. Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, especially with a busy programme of surfing and activities. That's why our breakfast is balanced and rich in nutrients to keep your children energised throughout the day. We serve a variety of fruit, juices, breads, pastries, cereals and many other side dishes to suit all diets. Lunches are served in the beach bar and consist of a starter, main course, dessert, water and juice. Meals vary daily between meat and fish and we always have an extra option to suit everyone's tastes. Vegan options are always available. Dinners will be served in our accommodation with soup as a starter, a main course of meat or fish, dessert, water and juice. At the end of each week, we organise a barbecue evening for everyone with salads, rice and vegetables. for everyone with salads, rice and burgers. All our meals include a vegan option. Healthy and nutritious snacks are also available throughout the day. These usually include a sandwich, fruit, snack and juice.
5Do I need to be a good swimmer?
Our main aim at the summer camp is to create a fun and safe environment where everyone can learn to surf and improve their skills, enjoy all the daily activities, as well as develop personally and socially. Knowing how to swim will give participants a solid foundation to make significant progress in surfing. However, this is not imperative. We will make any necessary adjustments for those who are not completely comfortable in the water and we will never take someone to a depth of water they are not comfortable with. Our surf instructors are well equipped to ensure the safety of all students.
6What should they bring to surf? Should they bring their own wetsuit?
We provide a wetsuit, the size and thickness of which is adapted to each student. Each student will be allocated a wetsuit for the duration of the week. The only things they need to bring are a beach towel, a swimming costume or shorts and effective sun protection.
7Are flights included?
The flights are not included.
8What clothes will they need?
All participants must bring: trousers, t-shirts, fleeces/jumpers, shorts, swimming shorts/swimsuits, a coat (for the evenings), pyjamas, underwear, t-shirts, a bath and beach towel, a hat, flip-flops, sun cream, toiletries and a bottle of water.
9Do you have any other advice or information?
It is not advisable to bring valuables. We recommend that you bring practical, comfortable clothing, sun cream and a hat to protect you from the sun at all times. All belongings must be identified with a badge. We provide 24-hour surveillance of all our participants to ensure that they receive assistance in all situations.
