Surf camp Hostel, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria - The rooms

Shared room Hostel

The hostel is a typical Las Palmas 3-storey house on a pedestrian street, 30m from the Paseo de la Playa de las Canteras and a stone's throw from the surf school.

On the ground floor there is a shared room with 6 beds, the reception, the coworking space and it is also possible to watch videos and films. This is also the floor reserved for storing surfboards.

On the 1st floor are the private and shared bedrooms, as well as the bathrooms and toilets.

The 2nd floor houses the shared kitchen and dining room, as well as the terrace overlooking the sea. The relaxation area is also on this floor. There is also a drying area for clothes and wetsuits.

Surf

7 things you should know about our surf lessons in Las Palmas:

We favour small groups: maximum 7 surfers per instructor. But most of the time there are only 6 surfers. For private lessons: maximum 2 students per instructor.
The loan of wetsuits and boards for all levels is included in the price of the lessons.
We place particular emphasis on creating a friendly and caring atmosphere. Lessons can be given in Spanish or English.
The 2-hour courses run from Monday to Sunday. It is possible to double sessions and choose to have morning and afternoon lessons (Monday to Friday only). There are no afternoon lessons at weekends.
Surfboards are only available on loan for the duration of the lesson. It is possible to hire equipment outside these times. Remember to book your equipment in advance.
We are the only surf school on the beach.
Our instructors are competent and insurance is included for the course.

Surf School

95% of our courses are held throughout the year. However, due to exceptional circumstances, we may have to cancel a course at the last minute. In this case, the lesson will not be refunded or rescheduled.

Surf lessons may be cancelled due to: large waves, jellyfish, polluted waters, lack of waves, strong winds, yellow alerts, government recommendations, rain or other unforeseen events. In these cases, we will not take you to other beaches.

However, you will be offered an alternative activity on arrival at the surf school (specific training for surfers, surf skate, stand-up paddle, yoga, etc.).

Yoga

Improve your surfing, build your confidence and do yourself some good by practising yoga.

Yoga can be a real help when combined with the routine of the surfing lessons you'll be taking. By working on relaxation techniques and stretching, you'll also improve your concentration and balance. You'll improve your surfing and gain in confidence and well-being. The only thing you need to practice yoga is to know how to breathe. Our yoga teachers are there to guide and help you, whatever your level. So you can get the most out of your experience.

TAPAS TOUR - Rates

Every Thursday evening, around twenty bars and restaurants offer a tapas and drinks menu for just €2.
The concerts are free and organised by the city of Las Palmas. You can enjoy them whenever you like.
