With Ocean Adventure, every surf lesson in Hendaye becomes much more than just a lesson: it's a true immersion in the spirit of Basque surfing. Our local instructors, who are state-certified and experts on the surrounding spots, passionately share their techniques and love of the ocean with you. Their teaching methods, which are both fun and effective, guarantee rapid progress and enjoyment in every session!
To make rapid progress in surfing, we recommend opting for a one-week surf course. By stringing together sessions, you will be able to consolidate what you have learned, gain independence, and fully enjoy the unique sensations of surfing.
In practical terms, it couldn't be simpler: every morning, a dedicated shuttle bus takes you directly to the Hendaye spot, departing from the Saint-Jean-de-Luz bus station. Stops are available at Quiksilver Boardriders (Jalday area) or Socoa, near the bakery.

Ideally located on the beach in Hendaye, you'll enjoy private surf lessons given by a state-certified instructor and pro surfer, for top-quality teaching!
Remember to book in advance, because in summer and during the school holidays, slots are taken over 7 days and there's no room for last-minute bookings.
What should I bring for my surf lesson?
We provide the board, wetsuit and instructor. Just bring a swimming costume to wear under the wetsuit, a towel, a change of clothes and a bottle of water.
What time are lessons?
We organise the lessons about 2 hours before and after low tide with normal coefficients of 50/70. It can be more with lower coefficients but in any case, we organise the groups ourselves according to age and level to give you the greatest possible satisfaction.
We'll call you back the day before the course to give you your lesson time, depending on the tides and reliable swell and weather forecasts.
