Beach Resort Mentawai - The rooms
Located by the ocean and flanked by palm trees and thick jungle, the resort is bathed in cool shade, lush greenery and perfect views of the island.
Our Beach House has a total of 4 bedrooms and a family villa, with a maximum capacity of 12 people. Private and shared rooms are available. We accommodate no more than 2 people per room to offer you a high level of comfort. You will wake up and go to bed to the sound of the ocean.
Family villa by the sea
The Family Villa is new for 2024! It is located on the seafront and offers a direct view of the magnificent Indian Ocean. with a huge floor area, a comfortable living room, air conditioning and two balconies. It's the ideal home for a group of friends. The entire villa sleeps 4 people and can only be rented as a whole.
Jungle Bungalows
The Jungle Bungalows are brand new for 2024! These newly-built accommodations include air conditioning, a private bathroom, their own well-exposed terrace and the most comfortable beds on the island.
Cabin room
Each treehouse room has a double bed and a single bed with a maximum capacity of 2 people. Book this room as a private or shared room and wake up and watch the waves roll in from your bed!
Surf
The Mentawais are all-rounders when it comes to surf spots. We have waves for everyone! Being comfortable going left and right are the minimum skills required to enjoy your trip! Be warned: in high season, the waves are not suitable for beginners.
If you're a beginner with a few sessions of experience and can stand up on the board and go left and right without being pushed, there's plenty of fun to be had here! You'll find great waves around the shoulder and in low season. If you don't feel comfortable in the water, there are plenty of other fun activities in addition to surfing!
As an intermediate surfer, you'll be riding some of the best waves of your life . It's the perfect place to improve your surfing and challenge yourself every day! It's what you've been waiting for!
Surf School
Our lessons are aimed at all surfing enthusiasts, whether beginners or advanced.
The club offers both group and private sessions.
The aim of our surfing courses is to enable each participant to progress on the board and handle the surf independently, in complete safety.
Our instructors give lessons in French, English and Arabic. Passionate and motivated, they will be waiting for you at the school to help you organise your surfing time.
The equipment is in good condition.
Our courses include :
- 2-hour sessions in the water
- Wetsuit and board hire
- Equipment breakdown insurance
- Transport to the spot
- Theoretical and practical training according to your level
- Organisation of specific courses on request
- We offer private courses for children aged 12 and over.
Yoga
Our raised platform overlooking the break at home is the perfect place for yoga. We have free yoga equipment for use in our lodge.
There is usually a yoga teacher on site who offers free yoga classes. Please contact us for details of availability.
SNORKELLING
There's plenty of fun to be had beneath the surface. Explore the tropical reefs throughout the islands. We have snorkelling equipment available.
FISHING
Become the next Aquaman and provide for your Mentawai family.
We have fishing and spearfishing equipment at the resort, available to our guests at all times. The locals will be happy to show you the ropes and guide you to the best spots.
Adventures
Climb aboard one of our boats and explore one of Mentawai's many uninhabited islands. We can even pack your lunch for excursions.
Mentawai culture is magnificent! We organise jungle treks to discover the local culture and visit the shamans. The charming locals will be delighted to show you their way of life.
