Surf
The Mentawai Islands lie around 100 km off the west coast of Sumatra in Indonesia. They consist of 4 main islands with numerous smaller islands scattered throughout. From north to south, the main islands are Siberut, Sipora, North Pagi and South Pagi. These islands prevent most of the swell from reaching the mainland in Sumatra, but they offer some of the most perfect surf in the world. Access to the islands is by sea only with regular ferries to the main trading ports, but by far the best way to access the waves is by charter boat.

Activities
Sprinkle water everywhere. Sibon Jaya is a tailor-made platform for all kinds of ocean activities: dinghy fishing, snorkelling, freediving, SUP. The interior and above-deck areas are comfortable and shaded and perfect for lounging, reading, watching films and TV programmes that you don't have time for back in the modern world. The days are long on the Mentawai and there is plenty of time to read and relax. Take a trip to the interior of any island for an unrivalled cultural experience!
