The beautiful and luxurious Hotel & Spa has been lovingly built by a local Peruvian couple who have wandered and surfed the world for forty years and finally realised that nothing compares to their own "backyard". Miguel and Marie have created the perfect meeting place for surfers, offering plenty of luxury and facilities, while retaining its personal character, and working exclusively with local staff.

Localization
Peru, Chicama
We are located 85 km north of Trujillo, a 1.5-hour drive from Chicama. This magical place is home to the longest surfable left-hand wave in the world, photographed in front of a spectacular sandy beach. After 2 km of surfing, the wave ends near the old sugar port, built almost 100 years ago.
Access
Trujillo airport

Upon arrival at Lima Airport, you can take a 50-minute flight to Trujillo. Most of our customers book Trujillo Airport as their final destination, which allows luggage and surfboards to be transported to Trujillo.

Two airlines offer flights from Lima to Trujillo: LATAM and SKY AIRLINES. Both airlines charge an additional fee for surfboards (approximately £25 per trip).

The HOTEL offers a transfer service from the airport to the hotel (1.5 hours by car) and vice versa.

By car: This mode of transport is recommended for Peruvian residents or travellers who are used to driving abroad and are accustomed to long journeys. The journey takes around 9 to 10 hours. There are several tolls along the Pan-American Highway, with a charge of around 8.5 or 9.5 dollars every 100 km, or around six from Lima to Chicama.

Nautical activities
Surf
Chicama is the perfect place to get started in this amazing sport. The waves are gentle, the seabed is sandy and the waves are very forgiving. Surf lessons include a surf instructor, a surfboard and a wetsuit.
Chicama is one of the jewels of Peruvian surfing. Home to the longest left-hand wave in the world, Chicama offers more than 2.2 km of perfect waves that break all year round. It is an ideal wave for all levels. Some sections are easy, others more difficult and demanding for more experienced surfers. The wave breaks perfectly from start to finish, from the sandy beach to the pier. You'll surf it until your legs give out.
Surfing lessons
We offer surfing lessons.
The price for surfing lessons is US$50.00 per lesson per person.
The minimum age to participate in surfing lessons is 8 years old. Children must know how to swim and be accompanied by a parent (under the responsibility of the parents).
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- 15 minutes of theory lesson.
- 15 minutes of stretching.
- 1 hour of lessons in the sea.

This service is subject to availability and sea conditions and can be booked directly at the hotel.
Hydrofoil
Chicama is one of the best places in the world to practise this sport, with its very long waves and endless walls: the ideal combination for flying and experiencing the best foil sessions of your life. You can connect La Punta to El Muelle in a single wave, with different sections for performing manoeuvres or picking up speed.
Towing services
We offer a towing service with our Zodiacs, from the end of the wave to the take-off. This service allows you to catch more waves and make the most of your surfing session. You can add this service to your booking or reserve it at the hotel reception.
- Shared boat: This is our standard service, which includes as many boat trips as possible to the break point, sharing the boat with other customers.
- Price: US$50 for two sessions per day or US$30 for one session per day.
- Boat timetable: From 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
