Our surf camp is located in the centre of the 24-plus waves of the northern Mentawais in Indonesia. It has been created with a unique and innovative concept, based on the tripod: comfort, healthy eating and physical & psychological maintenance. The Resort stands out as a place where each guest is encouraged to reach their maximum surfing potential.
The architecture of the buildings is inspired by the traditional style of the Mentawai, highlighting the culture of the region, but adding elements that combine comfort and well-being. The entire complex is set in a private bay with a 1.5 kilometre stretch of white sandy beach and crystal-clear water. Local partner Robu Mayersha, also an excellent craftsman, uses his knowledge and experience to ensure a rustic touch in the buildings and furnishings that decorate the complex, most of which are made on the island itself.
Bar and Restaurant
Bar:
Far from being just a restaurant, we use the Sikerei as our main hub. The space is versatile and offers a bar. The space is decorated in a traditional Indonesian style with our own personal touches added.
Restaurant:
The Sikerei restaurant is at the heart of the Resort and connects to the beach with a bridge over a natural lake. The lotus flowers in the lake give a special touch especially in the morning when their petals are still open and provide a magnificent backdrop. Based on a natural and nutritional menu with touches of local and international cuisine, all meals aim to offer guests light, healthy and tasty food.

The Mentawai Islands are a chain of more than seventy islands and islets in the Indian Ocean located around 150 km off the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia.
We're right in the middle of the 20 waves of the northern Mentawai region. This makes it easy to get to most of the waves in less than 20 minutes by boat. The nearest peak is to the left of Hideaways, less than 5 minutes from the resort, and the furthest is the Bugerworld wave, which operates mainly on small wave days.
Access
Padang Airport
- Our transfer service includes all transport from the airport to the resort and back. We use the modern Mentawai speedboat.
- Arrive in Padang town (Sumatra) the day before your scheduled departure date and spend one night in Padang town. At the airport, one of our representatives will meet you and take you to the hotel where you will spend the night.
